How to export your Capital One transactions
Download the transactions from your Capital One credit cards, checking and savings as a file you can keep, open in a spreadsheet or bring into RichDue.
Checked on against the sources linked under each part. Capital One moves its menus from time to time, so each step names the words to look for.
On capitalone.com
- Sign in at capitalone.com on a computer and open the card or account.
- Above the transactions, select “Download Transactions”.
- Choose the file type and the dates.
- Select “Export” or “Download”.
The Capital One app shows your transactions but, in the guides we checked, has no download: use capitalone.com in a browser.
Which file to choose
Choose QFX or OFX. CSV works too.
QFX and OFX files carry an id for every transaction, so a month you download twice doesn’t double anything.
How far back you can go
The download covers about the last 90 days. Older months are PDF statements under “Statements”, which RichDue reads too.
What’s in the file
Dates are written year first (2026-10-15); charges are in Debit and payments in Credit. Card No. holds the card’s last four digits.
What RichDue handles for you
- Year-first dates and separate Debit and Credit columns: RichDue’s Capital One layout reads both.
- Download every 90 days, or the oldest weeks fall out of the window. With QFX, overlapping downloads don’t double.
Bring it into RichDue
Start free, answer six questions, then open Import and drop the file. RichDue shows every row before anything is saved: duplicates, transfers between your accounts and categories are marked, and you confirm.
Screenshots, bank alerts, statements or two taps: RichDue reads them, catches duplicates and asks before saving.
