How to export your Discover transactions
Download the transactions from your Discover credit cards and Discover Bank accounts as a file you can keep, open in a spreadsheet or bring into RichDue.
Checked on against the sources linked under each part. Discover moves its menus from time to time, so each step names the words to look for.
On discover.com
- Sign in at discover.com and open “Activity & Statements” (or “All Activity”).
- Choose a statement or a date range.
- Select “Download” (sometimes “Download Activity”) above the list.
- Choose the file type and save it.
The Discover app shows recent activity; Discover’s help sends you to discover.com for the full history, so download there.
Which file to choose
Choose CSV. Guides disagree on whether Quicken (QFX) is still offered; if your screen shows it, take QFX instead.
How far back you can go
Up to 24 months of transactions on discover.com. Only posted transactions are in the file, not pending ones.
What’s in the file
Purchases are positive and payments negative, the opposite of most banks.
What RichDue handles for you
- Discover prints purchases as positive numbers. RichDue flips them so spending is negative like your other accounts.
Bring it into RichDue
Start free, answer six questions, then open Import and drop the file. RichDue shows every row before anything is saved: duplicates, transfers between your accounts and categories are marked, and you confirm.
Screenshots, bank alerts, statements or two taps: RichDue reads them, catches duplicates and asks before saving.
