How to export your Fidelity transactions
Download the transactions from your Fidelity Cash Management and brokerage accounts as a file you can keep, open in a spreadsheet or bring into RichDue.
Checked on against the sources linked under each part. Fidelity moves its menus from time to time, so each step names the words to look for.
On fidelity.com
- Sign in at fidelity.com and open “Activity & Orders”.
- Choose the account and the time period under “History”.
- Select the download icon (“Download”) above the list.
- Save the CSV.
Your holdings are a second file: on the “Positions” page, select “Download” for a CSV of what you own today.
Which file to choose
CSV is the one file Fidelity offers here.
How far back you can go
Fidelity keeps about five years of account history; pick the range under History, and use statements for anything older.
What’s in the file
The Action text says what happened (“YOU BOUGHT…”, “DIVIDEND RECEIVED”), and a few lines of notes follow the last row.
What RichDue handles for you
- Fidelity’s file isn’t a bank layout. For Cash Management spending, add it as a statement and RichDue asks once which column is which, then remembers. For buys, sales and dividends, add it under Investments: RichDue reads the Action text and skips the notes at the end.
Bring it into RichDue
Start free, answer six questions, then open Import and drop the file. RichDue shows every row before anything is saved: duplicates, transfers between your accounts and categories are marked, and you confirm.
Screenshots, bank alerts, statements or two taps: RichDue reads them, catches duplicates and asks before saving.
