How to export your Charles Schwab transactions
Download the transactions from your Charles Schwab brokerage accounts and Schwab Bank checking as a file you can keep, open in a spreadsheet or bring into RichDue.
Checked on against the sources linked under each part. Charles Schwab moves its menus from time to time, so each step names the words to look for.
On schwab.com
- Sign in at schwab.com and open “Accounts”, then “History”.
- Choose the account and the date range.
- Select “Export” and choose the comma-delimited (CSV) file.
- Save the CSV.
The Schwab app has your statements (tap the export icon to save one), not the transaction file: use schwab.com for that.
Which file to choose
Choose CSV.
How far back you can go
Schwab’s help describes history going back two years, retrieved a stretch at a time, so export a long period in pieces. Statements cover older months.
What’s in the file
A banner line (“Transactions for account … as of …”) comes before the header and a “Transactions Total” line after the last row. A trade can carry two dates (“10/15/2026 as of 10/14/2026”).
What RichDue handles for you
- RichDue skips the banner and the total line and takes the first date of “as of” pairs, so the file goes in as Schwab writes it. Add brokerage history under Investments; Schwab Bank checking goes in as a statement.
Bring it into RichDue
Start free, answer six questions, then open Import and drop the file. RichDue shows every row before anything is saved: duplicates, transfers between your accounts and categories are marked, and you confirm.
Screenshots, bank alerts, statements or two taps: RichDue reads them, catches duplicates and asks before saving.
